North Devon-based supplier of sustainable building and decorating products Mike Wye & Associates is building a specialist eco property to showcase innovative sustainable products and building skills following 拢250,000 funding from Santander Business Banking. Two additional members of staff have been hired in preparation for this project.
Founded in 1994, Mike Wye & Associates has grown to 26 staff near Holsworthy. The business is one of the largest UK suppliers of sustainable building and decorating products. Customers range from homeowners and small contractors to major construction companies and suppliers such as Travis Perkins and Jewson.
The 拢250,000 funding from Santander Business Banking will enable Mike Wye & Associates to fund exemplar sustainable projects with the opportunity to showcase innovative specialist products such as recycled foam glass aggregate insulation, cork and wood fibre board and clay paints.
As a sign of its increasing reputation the company has recently won prestigious awards such as 鈥楤est Builders' Merchant for Self Builders鈥 at the Build It Awards, and 鈥楤est Rural Manufacturing Business鈥 at the Rural Business Awards.
