• On 2 November 2017, Santander UK will officially open its newly designed and refurbished branch on Barras Street, Liskeard. It is the latest of Santander’s branches to be re-designed as part of a programme to deliver even better customer service and community-friendly banking.

Santander UK today announces the appointment of Gerry Byrne as a Banco Santander, S.A. nominated Non-Executive Director of Santander UK with effect from 1 December 2017. He replaces Manuel Soto who will be stepping down from the Santander UK Boards on 15 December 2017.

• Santander has today announced the appointment of Bart White as Head of European Infrastructure Debt Advisory at Santander Global Corporate Banking (SGCB).

• Santander employees from across London and the East of England came head to head recently as they competed in a “Store Wars” fundraising challenge for the bank’s charity partners, Barnardo’s and Age UK.

• The MBO team includes Heather Mawrey, newly appointed as Managing Director having been with the firm for 11 years, and Joseph Storr, the firm’s new Commercial Finance Director. Storr joined Beaucare in 2015 having a background in finance and working within the healthcare and manufacturing industries. Jonathan Brown, founder, will continue to play an active role in the business, moving to the new position of Chairman.

• A Santander employee from Manchester was part of a 40-strong team that travelled to Nepal earlier this month to build a school for the disadvantaged Moser community outside Pokhara, as well as raise funds for Age UK and Barnardo’s, the bank’s charity partners in the UK.

Formed originally in 1996, the management team at Hallmark Sheet Metal has in excess of 78 years of combined engineering experience. The company has grown by focusing on the manufacture of low volume, complex sheet metal components via processes such as laser cutting, robotic bending and welding. It is a highly automated business with 20 staff providing operating two shifts.

• Santander research reveals 74 per cent of Britons have been targeted by scammers with phishing emails, smishing texts and vishing calls^.1 
• An estimated 600 million scam attempts were made in the UK over email, text and telephone in the last 12 months.²

On Wednesday 27th September, Santander UK will officially open its newly designed and refurbished branch on High Street, Stokesley. It is the latest of Santander’s branches to be re-designed as part of a programme to deliver even better customer service and community-friendly banking.

Santander has cut the rates on its fixed two and five year products across 60, 75 and 85 per cent loan to value (LTV) zero fee range. The changes are designed to support customers looking to remortgage before the end of the year. As well as market leading rates, customers can also take advantage of the free valuation and free legals or £250 cashback.¹

One Step Borders has received £5,000 to fund training for volunteers working with young people with emotional and mental health difficulties in the Scottish Borders.
