Please only answer these questions if:
1) you're an existing Business Banking customer, and
2) your business records are up-to-date with Companies House

To change a signatory on your account, fill in a change of mandate form (PDF - 1.32 MB) and return it to us.

If you鈥檙e a sole trader, you can make an amendment to an employee鈥檚 signatory rights. However, if you鈥檙e looking to amend the account owner, you won鈥檛 be able to do this on the existing account.

To change your business name, fill in a change of details form (PDF - 1.61 MB) and return it to us. You鈥檒l also need to send us some听proof of ID (PDF - 105 KB)听with your request.

Please make sure you include a copy of the board or committee meeting minutes for any change you are requesting.

Why are we asking for this?

  • A copy of the board or committee meeting minutes showing that the board or committee has agreed to the changes requested.
  • Check the board or committee meeting minutes are signed by any 2 committee members. These people don鈥檛 have to be signatories on the bank account.
  • Check that the board or committee meeting minutes contain details of all changes you are requesting. This might include changes to your organisation鈥檚 name, address, telephone number or email address, new board or committee members or trustees, or new board or committee members or trustees to be added as new signatories on the bank account.
  • Check that the changes you鈥檝e requested in the form match the changes recorded within the board or committee meeting minutes.
  • If you鈥檙e adding new board, committee members or trustees to your organisation or bank account then you鈥檒l need to provide their personal details with your request. We鈥檒l also need ID for each authorised person or signatory being added.

Is the new cardholder a director/owner/partner of the business? 

To change a signatory on your account, fill in our听change of mandate听form (PDF - 1.32 MB) and return it to us.

If you鈥檙e a limited company or limited liability partnership and want to add or remove a director, you鈥檒l need to complete a new personal guarantee. Where possible, we鈥檒l contact you using secure email to issue your new personal guarantee to sign and return.

Before signing a personal guarantee, you should seek independent legal advice, to make sure you understand what you鈥檙e agreeing to, and what you're responsible for.

If you鈥檙e a limited company or limited liability partnership, you鈥檒l need to update Companies House before requesting this change.

If you鈥檙e a sole trader, you can add an additional cardholder to your Business Banking credit card account. However, if you want to amend the account owner, you won鈥檛 be able to do this on the existing account.

To add an additional cardholder to your Business Banking Credit Card account, fill in our additional cardholder form (PDF - 136 KB) and return it to us.

You can add a maximum of 4 additional cardholders to your credit card.

  • Decree absolute.
  • Birth certificate.
  • Civil partnership certificate.
  • Gender recognition certificate.

If the operating rules on your account mean more than one authorised persons needs to sign, then all will need to sign to request this change. Fill in our change of details form, making sure all authorised persons details and signatures are included and send it back to us.
